38 years have passed since the world's biggest industrial tragedy "Bhopal Gas Tragedy", even today people shudder remembering that fateful night. 

The night of 2-3 December 1984 had brought a death scene for the people that night death was blowing in the air, whosoever came in contact with that air was eager to take him in the lap of death in a moment. Even today people shudder remembering that dreadful night. Yes, I am going to tell about that tragedy which is buried in the pages of history as the biggest tragedy of the world. Remembering that scene, it seems as if the havoc of death was running after people to make them grass that night. No one was able to understand what to do , where to go. People were simply running to save their lives and were succumbing to the poisonous gas. That black night had snatched the breath of people's lives , wherever you look, there was a pile of dead bodies. animals and birds ,Heaps of dead bodies of all human beings were visible. It seemed as if the orgy of death was going on here. No one who came in contact with the poisonous air that night could remain untouched by this havoc. All of them had come under his influence in one way or the other. The slum near the factory named Union Carbide was the first victim , where people from far-flung villages were living in search of work. Some people living in these slums even died in their sleep. When the gas slowly started entering people's homes , people came out in panic , but here the situation was even worse. Some died on the way , while some died while gasping. No one was prepared for such an accident. As the night passed , The crowd in the hospitals was increasing , but the doctors did not know what had happened . And how to treat it ?

It has been 38 years since this gas tragedy , let us know what happened on that dreadful black night which killed thousands of people in a jiffy. A painful accident took place in Bhopal on 2-3 December 1984 i.e. 38 years ago. In history, which has been named Bhopal Gas Tragedy , Bhopal Gas Tragedy , Bhopal Gas Tragedy is considered to be the biggest industrial accident in the world. On the night of 2 and 3 December 1984 , a poisonous gas methyl isocyanide leaked from the factory of a company called Union Carbide in Bhopal .Actually here, to keep the plant cool, a gas called methyl isocyanide was mixed with water, but that night there was a disturbance in its combination and the water leaked and reached the tank. The pressure increased with the temperature in the 610 number tank of its ice plant . After this the gas leakage started happening rapidly. In no time, the situation became uncontrollable and the poison spread in the entire city of Bhopal. This gas was spreading in the surrounding areas along with the wind. After this, there were piles of dead bodies in Bhopal. There was a long line of patients at the hospitals.

Due to which about 15 , 000 people died and many people became victims of many types of physical disabilities ranging from blindness , who are still suffering from the tragedy. According to government figures, there were a total of 3787 deaths in the Bhopal gas tragedy. But the figures of funerals held in the next three-four days after the gas tragedy seem to tell a different story. After the gas tragedy, so much wood was taken from the forest department's depot for cremation that more than five thousand funerals could be performed. This number is of cremation only , apart from this, if you add the last rites of dead bodies done by other methods, then this figure is seen more than double of the official figures. The main accused in this accident  was the CEO of this company ,Anderson was also arrested on December 6, 1984, but the very next day, on December 7, he was released , by the order of the immediate government, he was sent to Delhi by a government plane and from there he went to America, after which Anderson never returned to India. came . This file must also have been buried in some corner in some waste paper file. But even today the people who came under the influence of that accident, who somehow survived, are still waiting for justice with stony eyes , proper arrangements should be made to prevent this type of accident from happening and the irresponsible should be punished. 

No doubt it was a huge industrial accident , but the kind of air pollution and its dire effects it left on the environment of Bhopal. This gas got mixed in the water of Bhopal's ponds and the air there for a long time and today even after 38 years its effect is visible. The health of the survivors of that accident was affected in such a way and they got cancer and other diseases due to which their treatment continued till death and today the treatment of the survivors is still going on.
